The pandemic of coronavirus diseases 2019 (COVID-19) attracts dramatic attention worldwide that biosensing technology plays an essential role in screening, tracing, and diagnostics the society. World Health Organization (WHO) recommends significant features biosensor development, called ASSURED: affordable, sensitive, specific, user-friendly, rapid robust, equipment-free, delivered to end-user. Consequently, practical, low-cost, environmentally friendly components biosensors are urgently required future for such cases massive tests homecare point care. This article reviews emerging trend applications recent research utilizing reusable biodegradable components. challenges development were discussed overview consideration subsequent roadmap.
